Turn handles, push buttons and be amazed by our ingenious automata!

This summer we will be celebrating forty years of automata making in Falmouth and generally enjoying all things that move.

The exhibition evokes the origins of Cabaret Mechanical Theatre up the Hgh Street in Falmouth where Peter Markey, Ron Fuller and many other local automata makers began their careers.

The exhibition is accompanied by a fun filled Heritage Lottery funded community project exploring all aspects of Falmouth's automata making heritage. There will be talks, workshops and other creative family activities.

If you own an automaton or have memories of the Cabaret shop on the Hgh Street please share them with us.
