Tudor tours for school groups

Cotehele House is a Tudor building with some later adaptations. The Hall, Chapel and Kitchen in particular retain their 16th-century layout and character, and provide an excellent resource for school visits. Contact the property on 01579 351346 or e-mail cotehele@nationaltrust.org.uk for more information.

Resources available

Cotehele will provide Tudor costumes and a tour guide to accompany you around the house. To get the most out of your visit, you should:

  • Book at least one month in advance so we can create a unique visit, and decide on the key points you want your group to learn
  • Arrive by 9:30am to ensure there is enough time to get ready for your tour. The house opens to the public at 11am, school tours MUST commence at 10am
  • We can accommodate a maximum of 40 pupils (adult:pupil ratio of 1:10)
  • Visits are avaible from mid-March to late October, excluding Fridays
