After the summer break  the St Hilary Local History Group is delighted to welcome as its September speaker Des Prouse.  Des is currently Secretary of the Goonhilly Heritage Centre having worked in their R&D Dept for nearly 40 years.  His title is ‘Goonhilly, a Satellite Earth Station: A Tale of Half Centuries’.   He will trace Goonhilly’s fascinating history and look at its exciting future plans to be a base for space communications, missions to Mars, the moon and more!  Wednesday 13 September 7.30 pm in the Old Schoolroom – both members and non-members welcome.
