Guided tour of St Hilary Church and Heritage Centre - looking at its celebrated history from pre-historic times to the present day. The Church has unique links with West Cornwall's literary artistic heritage particularly the Newlyn Artists. The Procters, Harveys, Knights, Garstins and Walkes were all involved in the unique scheme of decoration of the church which has led to its Grade 1 lsting. Also covered are its Roman history, links with St Michael's Mount, noteworthy vicars including a 'computer' in the 1790s, the controversial Father Bernard Walke, the early BBC broadcasts and the turbulent church history of the 1930s.
