The letters H, T and P mean little in Cornwall today, but a century ago Hosken, Trevithick, Polkinhorn & Co Ltd played a significant part in its commercial, agricultural and community life.  Three prominent Cornish business figures who, with the assistance of a fourth, created the largest conglomerate of companies in Cornwall.  Philip Hosken, a direct descendant of William Hosken who worked Loggans Mill from 1815,  will be exploring the backgrounds of these men, their personalities, families and business ventures.   His lecture co-incides with the launch of his forthcoming book entitled Hosken, Trevithick, Polkinhorn & Co Ltd - the Families who Controlled Cornwall's Great Conglomerate.
