Added: 16 April 2018
The unofficial opening of Newquay Heritage Archive & Museum's new Art Gallery and Museum Room will take place on Saturday 21st April. Here on show will be a wide range of Cornish vintage artwork in various mediums together with Cornish studio pottery and other Cornwall related displays and exhibition material. There will be a number of vintage Cornish paintings also for sale at affordable prices along with other Cornwall related items and books, which will help support Newquay’s free community museum.
Museum coordinator Len Sheppard said “that following our success in the Cornwall Heritage Awards earlier this year our volunteers continue to work hard in promoting and sharing a wide aspect of our Newquay and Cornish heritage. We hope that a greater variety of exhibitions and displays will encourage greater interest by local residents and visitors and help show that Newquay has a lot to offer”. The new gallery and museum room will augment the existing Museum Room, Archive and Corridor Gallery
