Stories of the early Bishops of Truro 1877 - 1935

The re-establishment of a diocese in Cornwall came at a time when the Church of England was experiencing a period of growth but when there were profound divisions about appropriate ways to workship God.  Those divisions found expression in some Cornish parishes, notoriously including Cury & Gunwallow and St Hilary.  This talk is intended to give some insight into the lives of the early Bishops of Truro, their families and staff, and provides some context for the controversies of the time.
