The Metta Catharina exhibition tells the story of the wreck of the 18th century brigantine lost off the coast of Mount Edgcumbe Park in 1786 carrying a precious cargo of leather.  The exhibition also tells the incredible tale of the divers who discovered the wreck and spent 30 years battling to uncover her secrets.  A fun packed, informative exhibition for families to enjoy with lots of artifacts to see including a complete ox hide and a pair of shoes made from the leather.  Entry fee to the house also includes entry to this exhibition.  ONLY OPEN WHEN HOUSE IS OPEN.
