Learning at Wheal Martyn

Discover how Cornwall’s largest mining industry changed our lives and the lives of those who lived and worked in the shadows of the famous ‘White Pyramids’ over the 250 years of china clay mining history.  Walk through the Victorian clay works and hear stories from the past.  Witness modern clay mining in action from the spectacular Pit View and see blasting in action!  Explore the 26 acres of woodlands and trails teeming with species on the once industrial site.
