St Agnes Museum

Make a date in your diary to visit St Agnes Museum over the Easter holiday.
We start our season every year on Good Friday with a friendly welcome from one of our most long serving and knowledgeable stewards - John.
He would love to see you and introduce you to our newest display about the local Coast Guard.
Last year Mr William Pink B.E.M made a wonderful donation to the museum of may artefacts he had collected during his time as a Coast Guard - during which time he served in St Agnes. His items perfectly complemented a number of Coast Guard objects in our stores and we decided it was time to recognise the enormous service these people make to the Parish of St Agnes.
Clive Benney, local historian, also provided some wonderful photographs of the Coast Guard at the beginning of the 20th century.
There are numerous other new exhibits this season, but in particular you may be interested in the Arts and Crafts of the parish. As well as the regular display of Opies we have some new sketches from Hyman Segal, a lovely Tony Giles painting, and examples of pottery from several local artisans.
