Mary Newman’s Cottage
This Grade 11 listed cottage is the oldest building in Saltash, dating from around 1480: the furniture and utensils give the interior a truly atmospheric feel, and visitors can wear period clothing and play Elizabethan games. The garden is laid out in authentic Elizabethan style, showcasing the plants and herbs which were vital to a household of the period, and has extensive views over the Tamar below.

Admission free.
Educational visits especially welcome.

Information
Visitors can have a guided tour of the cottage and garden, relax in the peace of the garden or do both depending on how much time they have. Admission is free but a small donation towards the work of the Society would be most welcome.
Adult and Children Group visits are encouraged but advance booking is required.
Visits can be arranged out of season and when the museum is closed.
